TREATMENT WELL TILT
Pinnacle’s treatment well fracture mapping service directly measures hydraulic fracture height and width in real-time from the active treatment well. Pinnacle has been providing downhole tiltmeter mapping services commercially since 1997 in offset monitor wells to directly measure fracture geometry on hundreds of fracture treatments. Now, for the first time, fracture height and width can be directly measured during pumping in the treatment well itself. This eliminates the need to shut in production on monitor wells and allows tiltmeter mapping technology to be used in areas where well spacing is not conducive to mapping from an offset wellbore. Pinnacle was awarded the Hart Publication’s 2001 Meritorious Engineering Award for the development of treatment well tilt fracture mapping.
